These are my final a3's that I presented. My idea was related to suicide which is to do with the whole grotesque idea and it is also portrayed on my original poster. It is obvious how my sculptie (the big black gun) relates to this idea, the 'tunnel' that catches the bullet is supposed to represent the tunnel that people who have come close to death describe ( a light at the end of the tunnel). The glowing dominoes represent this light and the final encounter with Sidney's cube releases drops of blood again relating to death/suicide.

Here you can see how my machine works, after Justines passes on to mine, basically the gun fires and lands in my 'blackhole' or tunnel. It represents death in a figurative sense as people that have come close to death talk about a tunnel and the light at the end of it.
I took a photo inside of it, and I find it quite and interesting space.

My pride and joy....My 3ds sculptie, it took a while and a bit of frustration but I got it done, this links to my idea of suicide.

A New Beginning,

Back into it, and back "in world". Above is the poster i created for our first week design assignment.

We have now been given the task to create a part of a "Rube Goldberg" machineon 2nd life and relate it to the theme of "trash can" and also linking it to our poster.
My idea of 'suicide' was an attempt at being grotesque, therefore I will try and portray that in my contraption

experimenting

I started playing 'round with dominoes and the falling effect they have, as this relates to my grotesque poster depicting a man hanging from the tree. This relates to the idea of suicide.

I believe my part of the 2nd life "Rube Goldberg machine" is between my neighbours Justine and Sidney, therefore I am going to have to link it to their parts in some way.

Also my machine will have to turn around as Sidneys one will follow mine.

I believe I will have to use a 'ball' of some sort (maybe use 3ds max to create an alternate object?), although i didn't want to use one as everyone else seems to be.
